There is a quality community theater group in Carmel. Called Brewster Theater Company, it presents in a spacious theater — nothing fancy, just nice — behind Drew United Methodist Church at 28 Gleneida Avenue in Carmel. (When, driving east from the lake, one comes to the end of Route 301, turn right; Drew is the first church — a big stone thing — on the left. There is parking at the back.)
A group of us from the lake saw there a good production of Inherit the Wind in March. One will be able to see Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 in May, Guys and Dolls in July, Prelude to a Kiss in November, and All is Calm in December. A “playwright festival” will play in September.
One can pre-theater dine in walking distance at either the busy and happening Luigi’s Famiglia Cucina, Carmel Diner, Thai Golden, Bliss Dairy Bar and Grill, or the petite and lovely That Greek Place.
From the theater company website: “To audition for any show, please send an email to BrewsterTheaterInfo@gmail.com with the name of the show in the subject. Include your full contact information.”

Guys & Dolls and That Greek Place was a delicious combination. Highly recommended.
Looking forward to checking out Brewster Theater Company’s future productions.
